We recommend buying Japanese Rail Pass to travel by Japanese Railway (JR)! It gives good opportunity to save money and includes travel by usual trains, shinkansen super express (except some cases) and overnight train Izumo Sunrise (nobinobi seats). Japanese Rail Pass vouchers are available for purchase only in foreign countries, it is not available for sale inside Japan. Vouchers are exchanged for Rail Pass at green windows at all major JR stations throughout Japan. You can exchange your pass in Sakaiminato or Yonago as well in case you’re arriving by cruse ferry from Russia.
